Program in Baguio City
Baguio
City, Philippines — Ten trainees, three ladies and seven men,
have signed up for the 2nd Batch of the Central Baguio Church of
Christ’s Missionary Training Program (CMTP-2). Officially
called “Missionary Training Partners” (MTPs), the trainees
are a mix of single and married folks, 21 to 59 years old, and high
school graduates to degree holders.
Alex Coloma, Erwin Panday, Scott Saboy, and Sammy Seridio of the
Baguio Mission Team (BMT) serve as full-time instructors. Alvin
Tanicala, a locally known mediaman working as public relations officer
to the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Cordillera Administrative
Region (DSWD-CAR), has recently joined the teaching pool and is
handling Basic Com2 2. The trainees’ activities include house-to-house
campaigns, tracts distribution, community work, Personal Bible Studies
and worship serving.
Classes are temporarily being held at the WBS office at the Baguio
Church of Christ along Rimando Road, Baguio every morning from Tuesday
to Saturday. Plans are underway for the transfer of the MTPs’
classroom and lodging to another facility two kilometers from the
city’s central business district.
